If you dance at ‘Jouw dans’ you conform to the following conditions and agreements:
Payment
For weekly lessons, tickets can be purchased at the dance venue; single or a strip card. The strip card is personal and valid for 1 year. Regular partners may share a strip card. For all workshops, courses and year groups: registration and payment in advance according to the procedure mentioned in the info.
Cancellation
When organizing lessons, workshops, courses and year groups, ‘Jouw dans’ enters into financial and performance obligations. For this reason, your registration is not without obligation and there are cancellation conditions. Cancellations can be made by telephone or e-mail.
Important: non-payment of the cost does not count as cancellation.
• If you cancel a booked weekly class, no refund is possible.
The following applies to other dance activities:
• If you cancel up to 6 weeks before the start of the booked workshop/course/year group, you will receive a refund of the workshop amount due, minus the non-refundable deposit of € 100.
• If you cancel between 6 and 3 weeks before the start of the booked workshop, you will receive a refund of 50% of the workshop amount due.
• If you cancel within 3 weeks before the start of the booked workshop, no refund is possible.
• If you find a replacement participant who can take your place in the workshop (and who has not yet registered), we will refund you the workshop payment, minus € 30 administration costs. If there is someone on the waiting list who can take your place, we will refund you the workshop payment, minus € 50 administration costs.
• When we need to change the location, we do our best to keep the location in the area, with good public transport (bus/train). No refunds are available if you decide not to attend due to a change of location.
• If we have to cancel the workshop, you will receive a full refund.
Liability
Participation in these movement workshops and classes is based on your own responsibility.
You are responsible for your own health. Are you being treated by a doctor and/or are you taking medication? Please talk with me before participating. Prior to the activity, inform the teacher about any physical/mental complaints that may affect participation in the lessons/workshops. Keep an eye on your own limits and feel free to follow your own pace whenever your body asks you to.
Dancing is good for body and mind but never replaces a doctor or treatment. Seek help if you need it.
‘Your dance’ is not responsible for your personal belongings. I advise you not to bring valuables, and if you do have them with you, to take them into the dance hall.
‘Your dance’ is not liable for material and/or immaterial damage.
Further
The dance is a safe space where everyone can discover and explore their own possibilities and difficulties. You can be yourself; you can dance with your emotions, within yourself or in connection. It is important that you are respectful of your own boundaries, of others and of other people’s boundaries.
We dance freely, but do not do yoga, contact improvisation, tango, biodanza, tantric dance, dating and the like. There are other places for that.
We dance barefoot, on socks or dancing shoes. You can leave your outdoor shoes outside of the danceroom.
Mobile phones are off or on silent and remain in the bag during the entire activity. No mobile use in the dance room during breaks either. You can use your phone outside of the danceroom.
